  1. Owen’s Place


Owen’s Place is fun for the whole family with a variety of activities. An accessible playground equipped with a Freedom Glider for wheelchair users, wheelchair-accessible treehouses, zero entry We Go Round, an adult changing table in bathrooms, a music garden with a sidewalk path, and inclusive swings. 





2. Cincinnati Zoo


The Cincinnati Zoo strives to create an inclusive environment for all zoo lovers with their Zoo Access For All initiative. This initiative provides attendees with free sensory bags, sensory maps, and visual supports. Adult changing tables can be located in the family restroom and calming spaces around the zoo in various locations. The zoo also provides electric scooter rentals for those requiring mobility aids or additional support.  Zoo staff wearing blue stripes on their name tags who have received specialized training on how to support and engage individuals with developmental disabilities. 




3. COSI


COSI’s exhibits are all handicap accessible by use of the elevators. They provide free wheelchairs, as well as, wagon, stroller, or mobility scooter rentals. Family restrooms are available for use while at COSI. COSI has sensory bags available that include noise-canceling headphones, visual schedules, bubbles, and fidgets. Sensory bags are sterilized after each use. Sensory Friendly Environment Maps provided by COSI can provide recommendations for headphone usage, where live animals are located, audio levels in each area, and where adult changing tables are located. 



4. J.F Kennedy Splash Pad & Park - Kettering


The farm-themed JFK Splash Pad and Park has inclusive swings and accessible playground equipment for wheelchair users. The splash pad can be accessed by following the sidewalk into the designated splash pad area. The area is flat and has a sidewalk surrounding the area making it possible for individuals needing mobility aids to access the splash pad. 




5. Activity Center Park - Centerville



Activity Center Park is home to Centerville’s zero-depth spray ground, which allows mobility aid users to access the spray ground. The park has an all-access playground with wide ramps for wheelchair access, as well as, inclusive swings and swinging benches. Located in the family restroom is a universal changing table for parkgoers to use.




6. Get Air - Miamisburg


On the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month, Get Air hosts their event called “A Special Time for You” from 9 to 11 AM. During these events, music volume is lowered and requests for additional accommodations can be made ahead of time. An adult support jumper is free for jumpers needing additional support. Siblings are welcome during the event and will pay the same price as other jumpers. 




7. Kacie Jane Park & Splash Pad - Springboro

Kacie Jane Park and Splash Pad is ADA accessible with a paved sidewalk leading to and surrounding the Splash Pad. The Park has two separate playgrounds that are geared towards different age ranges, including an inclusive swing. There is also an accessible and interactive electronic playground with musical sensory elements around it. Around the park and splash pad are multiple shaded areas with benches. A family restroom is available for use.
